Reverend Charles Augustus Goodrich was an American author and Congregational minister, who popularized the motto "a place for everything and everything in its place". His uncle was Chauncey Goodrich; his siblings included a brother Samuel Griswold Goodrich, and a sister, Abigail Goodrich Whittlesey.
