Domenico Cavalca OP (Vicopisano, c. 1270 – Pisa, October 1342) was an Italian Dominican friar, preacher and writer. He wrote a wealth of moral and ascetic vernacular treatises. In the nineteenth century he was hailed by the Italian purists as a master of prose-style.
