Julius Leopold Fredrik Krohn oli suomalainen kansanrunouden tutkija, suomen kielen ja kirjallisuuden professori, runoilija, suomentaja ja lehtimies. Krohn toimi suomen kielen lehtorina Helsingin yliopistossa vuodesta 1875 ja ylimääräisenä professorina vuodesta 1885. Hän oli 1800-luvun merkittävimpiä suomalaisen kansanrunouden tutkijoita. Hän myös kirjoitti ensimmäisen suomenkielisen pro gradu -työn.
