Alexander A. Dynkin is a Russian economist whose research interests and publications have been in growth, forecasting, international comparisons, technological innovation and energy studies. He is the President of the Institute of World Economy and International Relations (IMEMO)

Aleksandr Reshideovich Dyukov, is a Russian author and blogger. Dyukov is considered by critics to be a historical negationist downplaying Soviet repressions. He is persona non grata in Latvia, Lithuania and other Schengen member-states.

Aleksandr Filippov was a Russian legal scholar. 1901–1903 he was the rector of Tartu University.

Aleksandr Fiodorovich Sevastianov, also written as Alexander Fyodorovich Sevastyanov, (Russian: Александр Фёдоровичl Севастьянов; (1771-07-01)1 July 1771, Ryazan Governorate – (1824-12-05)5 December 1824, Saint Petersburg) was a Russian naturalist, poet, translator, and academician of the Imperial Academy of Sciences (from 1800). He was a member of many Russian and foreign scientific societies, including an honorary member of the Linnean Society of London (1809).

Aleksandr Vasiljevich Fomin (1869-1935) was a botanist. He studied ferns and seed plants. He was also a director of the Kyiv University Botanical Garden; which was renamed after him, when he died. He was a subject of the Russian Empire and later the Soviet Union.

Aleksandr Nikolaevich Formozov (1899–1973) was a Soviet biologist and environmentalist. He studied the biogeography and ecology of the steppe regions and is best known for his work on snow cover in ecology.

Aleksandr Yulievich Ge (1879—1919) was a Russian anarchist politician. An activist from an early age, he became an anarcho-communist during the 1905 Revolution and fled to Switzerland for his revolutionary activities. In exile, he became a vocal proponent of the internationalist position during World War I, before returning to Russia with the outbreak of the 1917 Revolution. There he elected to the All-Russian Central Executive Committee and challenged a number of Bolshevik policies, particularly the ratification of the Treaty of Brest-Litovsk and the political repression of Russian anarchists. He then moved to the North Caucasus, where he was appointed as chairman of the local Cheka and participated in the region's defence against the White movement, for which he was eventually killed.

Aleksandr Yakovlevich Golovin was a Russian artist and stage designer. He designed productions for Sergei Diaghilev, Constantin Stanislavski and Vsevolod Meyerhold.

Aleksandr Georgievich Gorshkov was a Russian ice dancer who competed internationally for the Soviet Union. With his wife Lyudmila Pakhomova, he was the 1976 Olympic champion.

Aleksandr Gradovsky (1841–1889) was a Russian jurist. A professor of law at St. Petersburg University since 1869, he was a leading theorist of Russian administrative and constitutional law. He was succeeded by Nikolay Korkunov.
