Austin C. Craig was an American historian born in Eddyton, New York. Being one of the first biographers of the Philippine national hero, José Rizal, a street was named after him in Sampaloc, Manila.

Austin Albert Mardon, is a Canadian author, community leader, and advocate for mental health. He is an assistant adjunct professor at the John Dossetor Health Ethics Centre at the University of Alberta. In the mid 80's, he founded and today still directs the Antarctic Institute of Canada, a non-profit entity based in Edmonton, Alberta. He is married to lawyer and activist Catherine Mardon, and has co-written several books with her.

Austin Steward was an African-American abolitionist and author. He was born enslaved in Virginia then moved at age 7 with the Helm household to New York State in 1800. The household settled in the town of Bath, New York, in 1803. He escaped slavery at about age 21, settling in Rochester, New York, and then Canada. His autobiography, Twenty-Two Years a Slave, was published in 1857.

Austin Wakeman Scott was a professor of law at Harvard University who wrote a ten-volume treatise covering many topics of personal trusts such as the formation and termination of express trusts, resulting and constructive trusts, and the conflicts of interest encountered in the administration of trusts. Many of Professor Scott's dictums for fiduciaries have been incorporated in the Uniform Prudent Investor Act (UPIA). His four-volume book, The Law of Trusts, was published in 1939.

Austin McGiffert Wright was an American novelist, literary critic and professor emeritus of English at the University of Cincinnati.

Austra Skujiņa was a Latvian poet. She was known for her sad poems about the impossibility of love and happiness despite wanting to achieve it. Her first poem was published in 1926 in a social democrat newspaper, and during her first years she was more known more for left wing and protest poems. The first collection of her poems was published in 1932, shortly after her suicide. Skujiņa committed suicide on 5 September 1932, at the age of 23. She is buried at the Riga Forest Cemetery.
