Borka Pavićević was a Yugoslav-Serbian dramaturge, newspaper columnist, and cultural activist. She was also described as a "dramatist, Belgrade liberal and pacifist intellectual". She founded the Centre for Cultural Decontamination in 1994, and was a co-founder of the Belgrade Circle.
Borivoje "Borko" Furht is a Serbian American scientist and author in the field of computer science and engineering. He is a professor in the department of electrical and computer engineering and computer science (CEECS) at Florida Atlantic University in Boca Raton, Florida. He is also director of the National Science Foundation's Industry and University Cooperative Research Center for Advanced Knowledge Enablement at FAU. In 2019, he was inducted into Academia Europaea, which is The Academy of Europe.
Borys Antonenko-Davydovych, born Borys Davydov was a Ukrainian writer, translator and linguist. During the Great Purge he was sentenced to the death penalty, which was later replaced with ten years jail in a gulag. Antonenko-Davydovych wrote a number of prose books; he had been translating from German and Russian. One of the most famous of his works is "How do we speak" (Як ми говоримо) in which typical mistakes of Ukrainian speakers made under the influence of Russian language are considered.
