Bruce Benderson is an American author, born to parents of Russian Jewish descent, who lives in New York. He attended William Nottingham High School (1964) in Syracuse, New York and then Binghamton University (1969). He is today a novelist, essayist, journalist and translator, widely published in France, less so in the United States.

Bruce Nicolas Berger was an American nonfiction writer, poet and pianist. He was best known for a series of books exploring the intersections of nature and culture in desert environments. Berger's book The Telling Distance: Conversations with the American Desert won the 1990 Western States Book Award and the Colorado Book Award.

Bruce Cassiday (1920–2005) was an American writer and editor. He was the author and editor of pulp fiction, suspense and espionage stories, Gothics, medical melodramas, radio and TV dramas and novelizations, "how-to" books on landscaping, home carpentry, solar houses, ghostwritten biographies, and reader's guides on detective, mystery and science-fiction literature.

Charles Bruce Catton was an American historian and journalist, known best for his books concerning the American Civil War. Known as a narrative historian, Catton specialized in popular history, featuring interesting characters and historical vignettes, in addition to the basic facts, dates, and analyses. His books were researched well and included footnotes. He won a Pulitzer Prize during 1954 for A Stillness at Appomattox, his study of the final campaign of the war in Virginia.
