Prince Kita (Ivane) Abashidze was a Georgian literary critic, journalist, and politician.

Kitamura Tōkoku was the pen name of Kitamura Montarō (北村門太郎), a Japanese poet and essayist. He was one of the founders of the modern Japanese romantic literary movement.

Kitarō Nishida was a Japanese moral philosopher, philosopher of mathematics and science, and religious scholar. He was the founder of what has been called the Kyoto School of philosophy. He graduated from the University of Tokyo during the Meiji period in 1894 with a degree in philosophy. He was named professor of the Fourth Higher School in Ishikawa Prefecture in 1899 and later became professor of philosophy at Kyoto University. Nishida retired in 1927. In 1940, he was awarded the Order of Culture. He participated in establishing the Chiba Institute of Technology (千葉工業大学) from 1940.

Kiva Maidanik was a Soviet historian and political scientist, a researcher at the Institute of World Economy and International Relations of the Russian Academy of Sciences. He worked in Latin American studies, with interest in Cuba, Brazil, Nicaragua, Mexico, and Venezuela. In 1980–87 he was expelled from the Communist Party of the USSR for "unauthorised contacts with foreigners."

Kiyohara no Fukayabu was a Japanese poet of Heian period. He is an author of the thirty-sixth poem of the Ogura Hyakunin Isshu and contributor of 17 poems to the Kokin Wakashū.

Kiyohara no Motosuke was a Heian period waka poet and Japanese nobleman. His daughter was the Heian poet and author Sei Shōnagon, famous today for writing The Pillow Book. He is designated a member of the Thirty-six Poetry Immortals, and one of his poems is included in the famous Ogura Hyakunin Isshu. His court career included terms as governor of Kawachi Province and Higo Province.

Kiyoko Murata is a Japanese writer. She has won the Akutagawa Prize, the Noma Literary Prize, and the Yomiuri Prize, among other literary prizes. The Government of Japan has awarded her the Medal with Purple Ribbon and Order of the Rising Sun, and she has been appointed to the Japan Art Academy. Her work has been adapted for film by Akira Kurosawa and Hideo Onchi.
