Laurent Drelincourt (1626–1681) was son of the French Reformed Church theologian Charles Drelincourt (1595–1669), who was a French Protestant divine. Laurent also was a theologian, who later became a pastor, and was the author of Sonnets chrétiens sur divers sujets (1677).
Laurent Gervereau is a French artist, novelist, philosopher and filmmaker. The founder of the discipline of Visual History, he has devoted his professional life to the world of images, as well as to the direction of cultural and international institutions.
Laurent Seksik is a French writer. A practising doctor, he published his first novel in 1999. He is best known for his trilogy of historical novels: Les derniers jours de Stefan Zweig, Le cas Eduard Einstein and Romain Gary s'en va-t-en guerre. He has also published a biography of Albert Einstein. The Last Days of Stefan Zweig has been adapted for stage and screen, and has been translated into English by Andre Naffis Sahely.
Laurentius Corvinus was a Silesian scholar who lectured as an "extraordinary" professor at the University of Krakow when Nicolaus Copernicus began to study there. He also attracted a reputation as one of the finest Silesian poets of the early Renaissance and as an important agent for cultural and religious change in his adopted home of Breslau.
