Max Frei is the pen name of Svetlana Yuryevna Martynchik, a fantasy writer from Odesa, Ukraine. She writes in Russian and mostly publishes in Russia while holding Ukrainian citizenship. She permanently resides in Vilnius, Lithuania. Martynchik has collaborated many years on her books with her spouse, artist Igor Steopin (1967—2018).

Bazerman is the Jesse Isidor Straus Professor of Business Administration at Harvard Business School. In 2019, he received the Lifetime Achievement Award from the Organizational Behavior Division of the Academy of Management.
