Roman Anatolyevich Silantyev is a Russian sociologist Islamic expert, former executive secretary of the Interreligious Council of Russia (IIRC), director of the human rights center of the World Russian People's Council, a former staff member of the Moscow Patriarchate Department for External Church Relations.
Roman Świątkiewicz, pen name Roman Świątek, or Romuald Świątek-Horyń, is a Polish writer, war veteran and World War II amateur historian. He published two controversial books about his personal experiences, Przed czerwonym trybunałem in 1987 in London and The Katyn Forest in 1988 in London under the pseudonym of "Romuald Swiatek". In the books he blamed the Germans for the Katyn massacre. In his second book he also claimed that Gerhard Buhtz, the leader of the German Katyn Commission in 1943 was killed by the Germans in 1944.
Nikolai Robert Maximilian Freiherr von Ungern-Sternberg, often referred to as Roman von Ungern-Sternberg or Baron Ungern, was an anti-communist general in the Russian Civil War and then an independent warlord who intervened in Mongolia against China. A part of the Russian Empire's Baltic German minority, Ungern was an ultraconservative monarchist who aspired to restore the Russian monarchy after the 1917 Russian Revolutions and to revive the Mongol Empire under the rule of the Bogd Khan. His attraction to Vajrayana Buddhism and his eccentric, often violent, treatment of enemies and his own men earned him the sobriquet "the Mad Baron" or "the Bloody Baron".
Romano Bilenchi was an Italian novelist, short story writer and essayist. He was born in Siena. He was involved with the resistance movement during the Fascist rule of Benito Mussolini. He was also active in the Italian Communist Party after the war. He founded a magazine, Società, together with Cesare Luporini and Ranuccio Bianchi Bandinelli in 1945.

Roméo Antonius Dallaire is a Canadian retired politician and military officer who was a senator from Quebec from 2005 to 2014, and a lieutenant-general in the Canadian Armed Forces. He notably was the force commander of UNAMIR, the ill-fated United Nations peacekeeping force for Rwanda between 1993 and 1994, and for trying to stop the genocide that was being waged by Hutu extremists against Tutsis. Dallaire is a Senior Fellow at the Montreal Institute for Genocide and Human Rights Studies (MIGS) and Co-Director of the MIGS Will to Intervene Project.
