Santa Montefiore is a British author.

José de Santa Rita Durão (1722–1784), known simply as Santa Rita Durão, was a Colonial Brazilian Neoclassic poet, orator and Augustinian friar. He is considered a forerunner of "Indianism" in Brazilian literature, with his epic poem Caramuru.

Aleksanteri (Santeri) Mäkelä was a Finnish smallholder, writer and politician. He immigrated to the United States in 1899 and returned to Finland in 1907. Mäkelä was a member of the Parliament of Finland from 1910 to 1914 and again from 1917 to 1918, representing the Social Democratic Party of Finland. During the Finnish Civil War, he worked in the administration of Red Finland. When the Red side lost the war, he fled to Soviet Russia and joined the Communist Party of Finland (SKP), which was founded by Finnish political refugees on 29 August 1918 in Moscow. He settled in the Soviet Union for the rest of his life, working as a propagandist, as a journalist, as a teacher and in other functions. Mäkelä probably died in prison custody in the Soviet Union in 1938.

Santiago Kovadloff is an Argentine essayist, poet, translator, anthologist of Portuguese literature and author of children's stories. He was born in Buenos Aires where he graduated in Philosophy at the University of Buenos Aires with a thesis on the thought of Martin Buber called "The hearer of God". Some of his works were translated into Hebrew, Portuguese, German, Italian and French and others have spread throughout Spain.

Santiago Nazarian is a Brazilian writer. He studied literature and graduated in Social Communications in São Paulo, Brazil. In 2007, he was selected by the Hay Festival as one of the 39 highest profile Latin American writers under the age of 39.

Santiago Vaca Guzman was a Bolivian writer. He trained as a lawyer and worked as a journalist, founding the newspaper La Patria in Sucre in 1871. As a writer, he published both fiction and poetry. His novel Su excelencia y su ilustrisima is regarded as one of the finest in Bolivian literature.
