Venya D'rkin, real name – Alexander Mikhailovich Litvinov, was a Russian language bard, poet, artist, painter and writer of fairy tales. He wrote over three hundred songs. As usual in the bard genre, the songs bear deep and imaginative lyrics, but, less commonly, are also very melodic. During the late 1990s, he performed some of his songs with accompaniment of other musicians, notably violinist Veronica Belyayeva.

Vera Mary Brittain was an English Voluntary Aid Detachment (VAD) nurse, writer, feminist, socialist and pacifist. Her best-selling 1933 memoir Testament of Youth recounted her experiences during the First World War and the beginning of her journey towards pacifism.

Vera Louise Caspary was an American writer of novels, plays, screenplays, and short stories. Her best-known novel, Laura, was made into a successful movie. Though she claimed she was not a "real" mystery writer, her novels effectively merged women's quest for identity and love with murder plots. Independence is the key to her protagonists, with her novels revolving around women who are menaced, but who turn out to be neither victimized nor rescued damsels.

Vera Chapman, also known as Vera Ivy May Fogerty, and within the Tolkien Society as Belladonna Took, was a British author and founder of the Tolkien Society in the United Kingdom, and also wrote a number of pseudo-historical and Arthurian books. She held the title of Pendragon of The Order of Bards, Ovates and Druids from 1964 to 1991.
