Ward Swift Just was an American writer. He was a war correspondent and the author of 19 novels and numerous short stories.

He began his career in print journalism, and was best known as managing editor of Fact in 1964, when the magazine ran a controversial survey of psychiatrists on presidential candidate Barry Goldwater's mental fitness for office, which led to a lawsuit and revised ethical guidelines against psychological professionals diagnosing individuals they had not personally evaluated. He subsequently worked as an educator and writer of books about business and personal finance.
Warren Carter is an exegete specializing in the Gospel of Matthew, as well as the Greek New Testament in general. Born in New Zealand and now living in Tulsa, Oklahoma; Carter's education consists of a Ph.D., from Princeton Theological Seminary; a B.D., Th.M., from Melbourne College of Divinity, Australia; as well as a B.A. Hons, from Victoria University of Wellington, New Zealand. An ordained New Zealand Baptist minister with membership in the Disciples of Christ, Carter is currently the LaDonna Kramer Meinders Professor of New Testament at Phillips Theological Seminary. Before coming to Phillips in 2019, Carter was on the faculty at Brite Divinity School in Fort Worth, TX and, prior to that, at Saint Paul School of Theology in Kansas City.

He is best known as the co-creator of several original comics series, including Transmetropolitan (1997–2002), Global Frequency (2002–2004) and Red (2003–2004), which was adapted into the feature films Red (2010) and Red 2 (2013). Ellis is the author of the novels Crooked Little Vein (2007) and Gun Machine (2013) and the novella Normal (2016).
