Hugo de Groot ou Huig de Groot, dit Grotius, né le 10 avril 1583 à Delft et mort le 28 août 1645 à Rostock, est un humaniste, diplomate, avocat, théologien et juriste néerlandais des débuts de la république des Provinces-Unies, (1581-1795), issue de l'insurrection des Pays-Bas contre Philippe II.
Hugo Münsterberg was a German-American psychologist. He was one of the pioneers in applied psychology, extending his research and theories to industrial/organizational (I/O), legal, medical, clinical, educational and business settings. Münsterberg experienced immense turmoil with the outbreak of the First World War. Torn between his loyalty to the United States and his homeland, he often defended Germany's actions, attracting highly contrasting reactions.

Robert Charles Henri Le Roux, mieux connu sous son pseudonyme Hugues Le Roux, né le 23 novembre 1860 au Havre et mort le 14 novembre 1925 à Paris 6e, est un journaliste, écrivain et homme politique français, sénateur sous la IIIe République. Il se spécialise dans la littérature de voyage et dans les ouvrages concernant les colonies françaises en Afrique.
