Abdullahi Qarshe (1924–1994) was a Somali musician, poet and playwright known as the "Father of Somali music". In 1957 he wrote and composed the Somali National Anthem, Qolobaa Calankeed.

In September 2019, he was named by the Russian Book of Records as the most successful combat sambo coach in the country. He was the father and coach of retired UFC lightweight champion Khabib Nurmagomedov, and coach of current UFC Lightweight Champion Islam Makhachev.

Mawlānā Abul-Ma'ānī Mīrzā Abdul-Qādir Bēdil, also known as Bedil Dehlavī, was an Indian Sufi, and considered one of the greatest Indo-Persian poets, next to Amir Khusrau, who lived most of his life during the reign of Aurangzeb, the sixth Mughal emperor. He was the foremost representative of the later phase of the "Indian style" of Persian poetry, and the most difficult and challenging poet of that school.
