Ài Sīqí is the pen name of Li Shengxuan, a Yunnan Mongol Chinese philosopher and author. He was born in Tengchong, Yunnan, later traveling to Hong Kong, where he studied English and French at a Protestant school and was exposed to Sun Yat-sen’s Three Principles of the People and Marxism. He read a great deal of Marxism, including the Communist Manifesto, in Japanese translation. This reading is the root of Ai’s most important works, Dialectical Materialism and Historical Materialism (歷史唯物主義與辯証唯物主義) and Philosophy for the Masses (大眾哲學)(1948). He was a delegate to the 1st, 2nd and 3rd National People's Congress.

Ai Yazawa is a Japanese manga author. Yazawa's most famous manga include Tenshi Nanka Ja Nai, Neighborhood Story, Paradise Kiss, and especially Nana, the latter being one of the best-selling manga series.

Aidan Higgins was an Irish writer. He wrote short stories, travel pieces, radio drama and novels. Among his published works are Langrishe, Go Down (1966), Balcony of Europe (1972) and the biographical Dog Days (1998). His writing is characterised by non-conventional foreign settings and a stream of consciousness narrative mode. Most of his early fiction is autobiographical – "like slug trails, all the fiction happened."

Tazhi is the author of the poetry collection БОГ-О-СЛОВ (THEO-LOG-IAN) and the bilingual poetry book Бумажная кожа/Paper-Thin Skin, which was released after winning a Fellowship from the National Endowment for the Arts.
