Aileen Longden is a British writer and public speaker. She is the author of more than thirty-five historical novels. She is partially-sighted and legally blind.

Aileen Lucia Fisher was an American writer of more than a hundred children's books, including poetry, picture books in verse, prose about nature and America, biographies, Bible-themed books, plays, and articles for magazines and journals. Her poems have been anthologized many times and are frequently used in textbooks. In 1978 she was awarded the second National Council of Teachers of English Award for Excellence in Poetry for Children. Born in Michigan, Fisher moved to Colorado as an adult and lived there for the rest of her life.

Aileen Francis Paterson MBE was a Scottish writer and illustrator, best known for her series of children's books about Maisie MacKenzie, the kitten.

Aimé Fernand David Césaire was a French poet, author, and politician. He was "one of the founders of the Négritude movement in Francophone literature" and coined the word négritude in French. He founded the Parti progressiste martiniquais in 1958, and served in the French National Assembly from 1945 to 1993 and as President of the Regional Council of Martinique from 1983 to 1988.

Aime Hansen is an Estonian poet, writer, and artist. She is noted for her works with religious themes and her exploration of the mysticism of life and psychology. In 2009 she authored Jaipur-Delhi-Himaalaja: reisikohvrist leitud lood, a short story collection related to her travels in northern India and the Himalayas. A member of the Estonian Writer's Union, she writes in both Estonian and English.

Aimée Beekman is an Estonian writer noted in her country for several books said to present realistic depictions of modern life. Amongst her works is Valikuvõimalus, which involves a woman's unconventional attempt at family life.

Aimee Friedman is the author of several young adult novels published by Scholastic Inc., Point and S&S. Her novels South Beach (2004), French Kiss (2005), Hollywood Hills (2007) and The Year My Sister Got Lucky (2008) focus on the scandalous adventures of on-again, off-again best friends Holly Jacobson and Alexa St. Laurent. Friedman released Sea Change on June 1, 2009. A Novel Idea (2005) is a romantic comedy about a teenager who starts a book club in Park Slope, Brooklyn. Friedman wrote one of the four stories in the holiday collection Mistletoe (2006), which also features stories by Nina Malkin, Hailey Abbott, and Melissa de la Cruz. Friedman wrote a short story, "Three Fates" for the book 21 Proms. In 2007, Friedman published, along with artist Christine Norrie, a graphic novel entitled Breaking Up which details the complicated dynamics of junior year in an arts school in New York. In 2016, she published Two Summers.
