Boris Viktorovich Savinkov was a Russian Empire writer and revolutionary. As one of the leaders of the Fighting Organisation, the paramilitary wing of the Socialist Revolutionary Party, Savinkov was involved in the assassinations of several high-ranking imperial officials in 1904 and 1905.

Boris Mikhaylovich Shaposhnikov was a Soviet military officer, theoretician and Marshal of the Soviet Union. He served as the Chief of the General Staff of the Soviet Armed Forces from 1928 to 1931 and at the start of the Second World War. Shaposhnikov was one of the foremost military theorists during the Stalin-era. His most important work, Mozg Armii, is considered a landmark in Soviet military theory and doctrine on the organization of the Red Army's General Staff.

Boris Nikolayevich Shiryaev was a Russian writer of the "second wave" of exile and a participant of the Russian apostolate in the Russian Diaspora. A member of the White movement during the Russian Civil War, during the occupation of the southern Russian city of Stavropol by the German Wehrmacht, he collaborated with the occupiers by publishing anti-Soviet newspapers and consequently had to flee to Italy. He was a member of the Russian Greek Catholic Church in Diaspora.

Boris Yefimovich Shtein was a Soviet diplomat. He was a member of many Soviet delegations in the 1920s and 1930s and served as a diplomat at the United Nations in the 1940s. In later life Shtein dedicated himself to academic work as a professor and writer on the history of Soviet foreign relations. His name is also transliterated as Boris Stein or Boris Shteyn.

Boris Zakharovich Shumyatsky was a Soviet politician, diplomat and the de facto executive producer for the Soviet film monopolies Soyuzkino and GUKF from 1930 to 1937. He was executed as a traitor in 1938, following a "purge" of the Soviet film industry, and much information about him was expunged from the public record as a consequence.

Boris Sergeyevich Stechkin (1891–1969) was a Russian Empire scientist, engineer and inventor. He developed a theory of heat engines and was involved in construction of many Soviet aircraft engines. He was also co-developer of Sikorsky Ilya Muromets and Lebedenko's Tsar Tank. He died in Moscow on April 2, 1969.
