Ehrman Syme Nadal, A.M. (1843–1922) was an American author, born at Lewisburg, West Virginia. He graduated from Yale in 1864. His employment included serving as second secretary of the United States Legation at London in the 1870s, being on the staff of the New York Nation for several years in the 1880s, and lecturing on English composition at Columbia in 1892–1893. His publications include: Impressions of London Social Life (1875); Essays at Home and Elsewhere (1882); and Zwieback: Notes of a Professional Exile (1895).
Ehsan Yarshater was an Iranian historian and linguist who specialized in Iranology. He was the founder and director of The Center for Iranian Studies, and Hagop Kevorkian Professor Emeritus of Iranian Studies at Columbia University.
Ehud Ben Zvi is a historian of ancient Israel, esp. in the Achaemenid period, a scholar of the Hebrew Bible, with a focus on Social Memory. He is Professor Emeritus in the Department of History, Classics and Religion at the University of Alberta.
Ehud Manor was an Israeli lyricist, translator, poet and radio and TV personality. He is widely considered to have been Israel's most prolific lyricist of all time, having written or translated over 1,000 songs. In 1998, he was awarded the Israel Prize for his exceptional contributions to Israeli music.
Eiichiro Oda is a Japanese manga artist and the creator of the series One Piece (1997–present). With more than 516.6 million tankōbon copies in circulation worldwide, One Piece is both the best-selling manga in history and the best-selling comic series printed in volume, in turn making Oda one of the best-selling fiction authors. The series' popularity resulted in Oda being named one of the manga artists that changed the history of manga.
Eiji Yoshikawa was a Japanese historical novelist. Among his best-known novels are revisions of older classics. He was mainly influenced by classics such as The Tale of the Heike, Tale of Genji, Water Margin and Romance of the Three Kingdoms, many of which he retold in his own style. As an example, Yoshikawa took up Taiko's original manuscript in 15 volumes to retell it in a more accessible tone and reduce it to only two volumes. His other books also serve similar purposes and, although most of his novels are not original works, he created a huge amount of work and a renewed interest in the past. He was awarded the Cultural Order of Merit in 1960, the Order of the Sacred Treasure and the Mainichi Art Award just before his death from cancer in 1962. He is cited as one of the best historical novelists in Japan. The complete translation of his "Miyamoto Musashi", in the west, is only available in Brazilian Portuguese
Eiko Kadono , real name Eiko Watanabe , born January 1, 1935, is a Japanese author of children's literature, picture books, non-fiction, and essays in Shōwa and Heisei period in Japan. Her most famous work Kiki's Delivery Service, released in 1985, was made into an anime film by Hayao Miyazaki, and spawned a series of sequel novels. In 2018, she won the Hans Christian Andersen Award. Currently, she serves as a guest professor at the Nihon Fukushi University in Aichi Prefecture.
Eileen Chang (traditional Chinese: 張愛玲; simplified Chinese: 张爱玲; pinyin: Zhāng Àilíng; Wade–Giles: Chang1 Ai4-ling2；September 30, 1920 – September 8, 1995), also known as Chang Ai-ling or Zhang Ailing, or by her pen name Liang Jing (梁京), was a Chinese-born American essayist, novelist, and screenwriter. She was a well-known feminist woman writer of Chinese literature, known for portraying life in the 1940s Shanghai and Hong Kong.
Eileen Charbonneau is a novelist whose books include The Connor Emerald (2000), Rachel LeMoyne (1999), The Randolph Legacy (1998), and Waltzing in Ragtime (1996). Her books for young people are The Ghosts of Stony Clove (1988), In the Time of Wolves (1994), Honor to the Hills (1997). Charbonneau was raised in Valley Stream, New York. She lives in the Hudson River Valley of New York, and in the Catskill Mountains, with her husband. They have two daughters, Abigail and Marya, and a son, Lawrence. Eileen Charbonneau is sister to the actress Patricia Charbonneau.

She is best known for her series about the Five Little Monkeys, starting with her retelling of the classic nursery rhyme "Five Little Monkeys Jumping on the Bed." Other notable books include stories set in her home state of Vermont; stories featuring Emma the Desperate Dog; and Vote!, a non-fiction work about the voting process.
