Mansfield Tracy Walworth was an American writer. Born in 1830, the son of Reuben H. Walworth, State Chancellor of New York, and Maria Ketchum Averill. In 1852 he married Ellen Hardin Walworth, his step sister. The marriage would break up due to his abusive tendencies. In 1873, Walworth was murdered by his own son Frank Walworth at the Sturdevant House Hotel, Manhattan. He was buried in Greenridge Cemetery.

Mansour Koushan (Persian: منصور کوشان) was a prominent Iranian novelist, poet, playwright, editor and director. He received the Ossietzky Award in 2010 for his outstanding work for human rights and freedom of expression. He was an active member of Iranian Writers’ Association and a strong opponent to the Iranian regime. In December 1998 Koushan was invited by the Norwegian Forum for Freedom of Expression to deliver a speech at the 50th anniversary of the U.N. Declaration of Human Rights Charter. Not long after, he received news that two of his friends and colleagues Mohammad Mokhtari and Mohammad-Ja'far Pouyandeh had been abducted and killed in Tehran. His name was likewise on the regimes death list. These killings were part of what is known as Chain Murders of Iran. Koushan was then forced to live in exile and resided in Norway the rest of his life.

Mantak Chia is a Taoist Master. Mantak Chia is the creator of the Healing Tao, Tao Yoga, Universal Healing Tao System, and Tao Garden Health Spa & Resort, located in the northern countryside of Chiang Mai, Thailand. He wrote more than 60 books on Taoist practices and taught the principles of Taoist internal arts. His books have been translated into more than 40 languages. He views himself primarily as a teacher.

Abu Najm Aḥmad ibn Qauṣ ibn Aḥmad Manūčihrī, a.k.a. Manuchehri Dāmghānī, was an eleventh-century court poet in Persia and in the estimation of J. W. Clinton, 'the third and last of the major panegyrists of the early Ghaznawid court'. Among his poems is "The Turkish harpist".

Manuel Alegre de Melo Duarte, GCL is a Portuguese poet and politician, member of the Socialist Party, and a candidate for the 2006 Portuguese presidential election. He ran again in the 2011 presidential election, this time backed by the Left Bloc and the Socialist Party. Alegre was awarded the Camões Prize in 2017.

Manuel Alfonseca is a Spanish writer and university professor. He is the son of the painter and sculptor Manuel Alfonseca Santana.

Manuel Alvar was a Spanish linguist, historian, and university professor who specialized in the study of dialectology and philology of the Spanish language. Throughout his career, Alvar oversaw and influenced the creation of many Spanish linguistic atlases; maps which recorded speech variations in a given geographical area. He served as Director of the Real Academia Española for four years and was a member of language academies throughout Europe and Latin America.

Manuel António Pina ComIH was a Portuguese journalist and writer. In 2011 he was awarded the Prémio Camões, the most important literary award in the Portuguese language.
