Her second, The Postmistress, a story set in Second World War Massachusetts and London, was published in 2010, and a third, The Guest Book, the story of two intertwined families in twentieth-century Germany and the U.S., appeared in 2019.
Sarah Broom Macnaughtan was a Scottish novelist. With the outbreak of the First World War, she volunteered with the Red Cross Society and was sent to Russia, then Armenia. She wrote much about the plight of refugees from the Armenian genocide. She died of an illness contracted while abroad.

Her third book, How to Be Successful Without Hurting Men's Feelings, was published in 2018.

Sarah Dessen is an American novelist who lives in Chapel Hill, North Carolina. Born in Illinois, Dessen graduated from the University of North Carolina-Chapel Hill. Her first book, That Summer, was published in 1996. She has since published more than a dozen other novels and novellas. In 2017, Dessen won the Margaret Edwards Award for some of her work. Two of her books were adapted into the 2003 film How to Deal.
