Lorraine Heath is an American author of contemporary romance, historical romance, paranormal romance and young adult novels under multiple pen names, including Rachel Hawthorne, J.A. London, and Jade Parker. She is known for her "beautiful, deeply emotional romances" and in 1997, she received the Romance Writers of America RITA Award for Best Short Historical Romance for her novel Always to Remember. As of June 2015, fifteen of her titles made the USA Today bestseller list.

Lothar-Günther Buchheim was a German author, painter, and wartime journalist under the Nazi regime. In World War II he served as a war correspondent aboard ships and U-boats. He is best known for his 1973 antiwar novel Das Boot, based on his experiences during the war, which became an international bestseller and was adapted as the 1981 Oscar-nominated film of the same name. His artworks, collected in a gallery on the banks of the Starnberger See, range from heavily decorated cars to a variety of mannequins seated or standing as if themselves visitors to the gallery, thus challenging the division between visitor and art work.

Eva Charlotta Carolina Dahlgren was a Swedish writer, journalist, newspaper editor, feminist, and suffragist. From 1891 to 1907, she served as the editor of the periodical Dagny, a leading mouthpiece of the Swedish women's movement. She was also a member of Fredrika Bremer Association, the oldest women's rights organisation in the country. She was awarded the Swedish royal medal Litteris et Artibus for her contributions to literature and history.
