Louise Bryant was an American feminist, political activist, and journalist best known for her sympathetic coverage of Russia and the Bolsheviks during the Russian Revolution of November 1917.

In 2021, the novel was adapted into an ITV drama starring Tuppence Middleton and Martin Compston. She is also the author of The Other Passenger, which was a Richard & Judy Book Club pick, The Heights (2021) and Those People (2019).
Louise Carter was an American stage and film actress. She appeared in 48 films between 1924 and 1940, mostly in maternal supporting roles. Among her roles were the mother of Paul Muni in I Am a Fugitive from a Chain Gang (1932), the wife of Lionel Barrymore in Broken Lullaby (1932) and the wife of W. C. Fields in You're Telling Me! (1934).

She collected a few of her many adult tales into volumes, Miss Eyre of Boston and Some Women's Hearts. It is in Boston that she did the greater part of her work, including her books of travel, Random Rambles and Lazy Tours, published her four volumes of poetry, and edited and prefaced biographies, A Last Harvest and Garden Secrets, and the Collected Poems of Philip Bourke Marston, as well as a selection from Arthur O'Shaughnessy's verses.
Louise Collier Willcox was an American author, editor, anthologist, translator, and suffragist. During her career, she worked for Harper's Weekly, Harper's Bazaar, North American Review, Macmillan Publishers, and E. P. Dutton & Co. Willcox was the author of several books, and she contributed to several magazines and newspapers, sometimes using a pseudonym. Her publications included, Answers of the Ages, The Human Way (1908), and A Manual of Spiritual Fortification (1910). She died suddenly in Paris, France, age 64.

Louise de Broglie, Countess d'Haussonville was a French essayist and biographer, and a member of the House of Broglie, a distinguished French family. A granddaughter of the novelist Germaine de Staël, she was considered independent, liberal, and outspoken. Her 1845 portrait by Jean-Auguste-Dominique Ingres, which took three years to complete, has been exhibited in the Frick Collection in New York City since the 1930s.
