Sofia Dmitriyevna Khvoshchinskaya, June 1 [O.S. May 20] 1824 – August 17 [O.S. August 5] 1865, was a nineteenth-century Russian writer of literary fiction and social commentary, as well as a painter and translator.

Her work emphasized motherhood and morality.
