Vladimir Stepanovich Ikonnikov was a Russian Imperial historian specializing in study of the Russian historiography. Ikonnikov was an academician of the Saint Petersburg Academy of Sciences, a professor and a dean of the History and Philology faculty of the Kiev University.

Vladimir Petrovich Ivanov was a Soviet and Russian radio engineer. After graduating in 1945 from Zhukovsky Air Force Engineering Academy, he spent his entire career on developing radio equipment at Moscow research institutes. Since 1979 he headed the Tikhomirov Scientific Research Institute of Instrument Design.

Wladimir Alekseevich Ivanow was a Russian orientalist. He was born in Saint Petersburg, Russia and died in Tehran, Iran. He was a scholar of Islam, with a particular focus on Ismailism. He graduated in 1907 and joined the faculty of Oriental Languages of the University of St. Petersburg.

Vladimir Nikolayevich Janjgava was a Georgian Soviet Army lieutenant general and Hero of the Soviet Union who participated in battles during the Winter War and was a specialist in infantry warfare during World War II. Janigava held command of various infantry regiments, divisions and corps of the Soviet Army. Janjgava served in a series of leadership roles after the war, including as Minister of Internal Affairs of Georgian SSR (1954—1958).
