Vladimir L’vovich Kvint is a Russian-American economist and strategist, and President of the International Academy of Emerging Markets. Since 2007, he has been the Chair of the Department of Economic and Financial Strategy at the Moscow School of Economics of the Lomonosov Moscow State University. Kvint is also the Head of the Center for Strategic Studies at Institute of Complex Systems Mathematical Research of this University. He is a Foreign Member of the Russian Academy of Sciences.

Count Vladimir Nikolayevich Lamsdorf was an Imperial Russian statesman of Baltic German descent who served as Foreign Minister of the Russian Empire in 1900–1906, a crucial period which included the Russo-Japanese War and the Russian Revolution of 1905.

Vladimir Isaakovich Lantsberg (1948–2005) was a Russian poet, songwriter, bard, and teacher. Vladimir Lantsberg was born on June 22, 1948, in the city of Saratov. In 1971, he graduated from Saratov Polytechnical Institute. He worked as a mechanical engineer until 1979, when he moved to Tuapse. Lantsberg held many jobs—a video game machine engineer, a lab manager in a school, a musician in a resort, etc. Additionally, he was a guitar player who wrote and performed his own songs. Lantsberg became a laureate of many KSP festivals, including four times laureate of the Grushinsky festival. He published several audiotapes, compact disсs, and books with poetry and songs.

Vladimir Dmitrievich Lavrinenkov was a fighter pilot in the Soviet Air Forces who became a flying ace during the Second World War and was twice awarded the title Hero of the Soviet Union.

Vladimir Alexandrovich Lefebvre was a mathematical psychologist at the University of California, Irvine. He created equations to predict the large-scale consequences of individual actions. Among the parameters in the equations are the self image of the individual and the action as perceived via this self-image. The result is a number expressing the probability that the individual in question will perform a specific action.

Vladimir Ilyich Ulyanov, better known as Vladimir Lenin, was a Russian lawyer, revolutionary, politician and political theorist who served as the first and founding head of government of Soviet Russia from 1917 to 1924 and of the Soviet Union from 1922 to 1924. Under his administration, Russia, and later the Soviet Union, became a one-party socialist state governed by the Communist Party. Ideologically a Marxist, his development of the ideology is known as Leninism.
