knidling revolt cast forth their baleful shadows over the fai-

rest region of smiling реасе; ardent loyalty and cheerful devo-

tion! I have heard even the spirit of Napoleon invoked, not

in whispers ог in suppressed murmurs, but in а voice so loud,

phrenzy seem to he willing to appeal to апу power, good от

evil, which could and would deliver them from the unnatural
